Our recent developments are liquid control components suitable for fuel cells. The current focus is on valves, pumps and Film Manifolds suitable for mobile devices. Our smallest valve, the FV series, is just 4.2x4.2x23.1mm in size giving an internal volume of just 1.1 micro litre and actually making it the smallest inert valve in the world. This micro-sizing also contributes to a very low pumping-volume. PEEK and perfluorelastomer are used as the wetted materials meaning this valve is highly inert. The FV has a low-power consumption of just 1W, whilst a similar valve, the FLV also operates with low-power consumption due to the utilisation of a latching mechanism. The FV can be mounted on our Film Manifold, a manifold made of bonded inert films as thin as just 25 micro-meters and with fine-channels of widths as low as 50 micro-meters. The Film Manifold is bendable and allows the precise control of fluid temperature.
