    FuelCell Energy Announces Sale of a 14.9 MW Fuel Cell Park in Connecticut

    Turn-key agreement with Dominion includes complete site design and construction, plus manufacture and installation of five DFC3000 power plants. Commercial operation is expected by December 2013. FuelCell Energy will operate and maintain the power plants under a 15 year services agreement and the electricity will be purchased by Connecticut Light & Power under a 15 year energy purchase agreement.

    Bloom Energy solid oxide fuel cells are to provide 5 million kWh of electricity annually to a new 13-storey, 415,000-square-foot office building under construction at La Jolla Commons in San Diego; when completed in 2014 it will be the largest carbon-neutral office building in America.

    SFC Energy’s EFOY Pro has proven itself once more as an ideal solution for long-term wildlife surveillance. The UK Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) has been using an EFOY system to power video equipment for the observation of a pair of white-tailed eagles during this year’s breeding season.
